site.btaBook Presents Photographs from 31 Bulgarian Itineraries
Photographs and travelogues from 31 itineraries through Bulgaria's mountains, canyons, caves, waterfalls and beaches are presented by Ivan Pankev in his book "Bulgaria Far and Wide". The album draws the attention of readers to less known natural beauty spots across the country, said publishers Siela.
The book follows two years after "Bulgaria's Mountains", in which the photographer recalls his experiences in scaling Bulgaria's highest peaks of all 42 mountains in Bulgaria. "Bulgaria Far and Wide" tells the story of his voyage along the Bulgarian stretch of the Danube river from the Timok delta to Silistra on a wooden raft.
The author shows photographs of the westernmost point of Bulgaria.
"He dispels the popular opinion that Bulgaria is as small a land as a human palm, reminding us that the country boasts a wide variety of golden sandy beaches and alpine mountains, waterfalls and clear lakes, mystic megalithic monuments and artefacts from ancient civilizations," the publishers said.
