Handing over his post to his successor on Thursday, Health Minister Silvi Kirilov said: "Over this past year, my team and I worked with the confidence that everything we achieved together was for the sake of Bulgarian citizens."
He expressed satisfaction with the implemented projects but admitted that a great deal of work remains.
Kirilov welcomed Michail Okoliyski, the Minister of Health in the new, caretaker government.
