site.bta14-yo Bulgarian Diana Chausheva Wins Concertino Praga 2022


Fourteen-year-old Diana Chausheva is the winner of Concertino Praga 2022 - Antonin Dvorak International Radio Competition for Young Musicians, the Bulgarian National Radio reported on Tuesday. The final on September 16 saw Chausheva compete against another Bulgarian - pianist Viktor Vichev, as well as a trumpeter from Italy and a violinist from Czechia.
Concertino Praga is an annual event organized by Czech Radio in cooperation with Euroradio.
At the 56th edition of Concertino Praga, Chausheva won first prize, as well as the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth prize, the Czech Radio prize, and the audience award. Her prizes include recording her own CD at Czech Radio and a prestigious scholarship by the Academy of Classical Music.
Sixteen-year-old Viktor Vichev, who also reached the final round of the competition, received an honorary diploma first degree. Chausheva and Vichev will continue to perform in Czechia as part of the Concertina Praga South Bohemian Festival.
