More than 2.4 million electronic court cases have been initiated and processed through the Unified Information System for Courts (UISC) over the past five years, Information Services, Bulgaria’s national system integrator, said on Wednesday. The system has also generated over 8.7 million electronic rulings, held 7.5 million court hearings, and registered more than 13.5 million documents.

According to Information Services, these figures demonstrate the successful digital transformation of the judiciary and its ability to continuously adapt to user needs and legislative changes.

As of November 2025, the UISC is actively used by more than 12,300 users, including over 2,000 judges, 4,500 lay judges, 5,000 court clerks, and 630 bailiffs. Judges have secure remote access to the system at any time via a high-security channel and qualified electronic signature, enabling faster case resolution within procedural deadlines.
