site.btaBTA, Petrich Municipality Sign Partnership Agreement to Promote Local Cultural Events
The Director General of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), Kiril Valchev, and the Mayor of Petrich Municipality, Dimitar Brachkov, signed a partnership agreement Monday to facilitate the coverage and promotion of the municipality’s cultural calendar.
Under the agreement, BTA will provide media coverage of Petrich’s cultural events to enhance their visibility at the national and international level. Among the featured events is a love poetry contest titled “Bitter Wine”, organized by the Bratia Miladinovi – 1914 Chitalishte Community Centre in Petrich, with the municipality as co-organizer.
The local administration will provide assistance and access for BTA representatives to cover events included in the calendar. This cooperation will facilitate the two-way exchange of information and ensure that news about Petrich’s cultural and public initiatives reaches a broader readership.
The signing of the agreement is part of BTA’s initiative to expand its network of partnerships with Bulgarian municipalities. To date, 15 municipalities have joined the initiative, with Petrich becoming the 16th partner.
