Burgas Regional Governor Issues BG-Alert Warning for Area of Elenite Holiday Village

Burgas Regional Governor Vladimir Krumov activated the BG-Alert early warning system for the Elenite holiday village near Burgas on Monday morning, said the press centre of the regional administration. The measure is being taken as a precaution in connection with the expected heavy rainfall and in order to ensure the safety of everyone in the area.

In the next 24 hours, everyone in the area of the village will receive a message with the following text: "Heavy rainfall is expected! Access to Elenite, Nessebar Municipality, will be restricted today [Monday] at 3 p.m.! Do not enter the village! Follow the instructions of the Ministry of Interior and Fire Safety!"

Torrential rain on October 3 led to a flooding in Elenite that took four lives and compromised infrastructure.
