site.btaTurkish Citizen Arrested in Parvomay for Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids


A Turkish citizen was arrested in the southern Bulgarian town of Parvomay for possessing about 10 kilogrammes of synthetic cannabinoids, which were intended for distribution, the Plovdiv Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior said on Tuesday.
They noted that the seized narcotic substance is enough to prepare over half a tonne of the so-called smoking tea, with a total value of about BGN 300,000.
The Plovdiv District Prosecutor's Office charged the 45-year-old man, who is temporarily residing in Bulgaria in the village of Plodovitovo. Following the expiry of his 72-hour detention period, the District Court ordered that he stay in remand.
