There will be no extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly on Tuesday, July 29, Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova said on Friday.

On Thursday, the parliamentary groups of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria, Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, and Morality, Unity, Honour submitted a request to Kiselova to convene an extraordinary plenary session on July 29. The aim was to discuss legislative proposals related to increasing the salaries of young doctors and medical professionals.

Four draft amendments to the Medical-Treatment Facilities Act were debated and voted at first reading earlier on Friday during a regular plenary sitting. As a result, the request for an extraordinary session no longer has a relevant agenda or subject matter, and therefore the sitting will not be convened, Kiselova explained.
