The parliamentary group of Velichie will accept an invitation from MECh to a meeting to discuss a vote of no confidence, said Velichie leader Ivelin Mihaylov on Wednesday. “Our main goal is to end the illegitimate government and the illegitimate parliament, which came from illegitimate elections,” Mihaylov said.
“In the plenary hall, we're seeing the same thing - on one side is Vazrazhdane and on the other is Democratic Bulgaria (DB). What they are doing is cementing the government,” said Mihaylov, who believes that what is happening in Bulgaria is disastrous for the whole country.
He noted that instead of uniting the people and not focusing on Russia and Ukraine, DB is once again shifting the point of contention between the electorates in the wrong direction. Seeking immunity for MPs means that their electorate will not support the protests. On the other side is Vazrazhdane. The two parties are serving the authorities and preventing the formation of a consolidated opposition to bring down the government, Mihaylov said.
“If we do nothing and do not reveal what interests are at play in the National Assembly, the same thing will happen in the next elections,” said the leader of Velichie.
He explained that the more this National Assembly works, the more nonsense it produces.
“There will probably be arrests of people around me in August, and trivial charges will be fabricated to put pressure on ordinary people. They will try to undermine public confidence. I will give up my immunity; they had better arrest me so that all economic and political activity is not crushed,” Mihaylov said.
