Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF) MP Hasan Ademov said Kiril Petkov's resignation as Co-Chair of Continue the Change (CC) and MP is a worthy act of a worthy politician, speaking in the parliamentary lobby on Wednesday.

Ademov spoke to journalists before a meeting of the Committee on Demographic Policy, Children and Family of the National Assembly. 

Earlier today, Kiril Petkov told a press conference in BTA's national press club that he is resigning. Petkov said that the reason for his decision is that "CC's cause is bigger than any one of us." Petkov apologized to CC's electorate for making a personnel mistake. He said that he is not resigning because of allegations of corruption aimed at him, but because there is corruption, possibly at the level of mayors of Sofia boroughs.
