The University of Economics in Varna has 415 foreign students, the university told BTA.
Students from 19 foreign countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Ghana, Germany, Kazakhstan, China, Mozambique, Moldova, Nigeria, Russian Federation, USA, Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkiye, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland and Japan study at the university.
The largest number of students, 287, come from Ukraine. They study free of charge as persons of Bulgarian origin living abroad. There are three students from the Republic of North Macedonia, three from Serbia and 43 from Moldova studying at the University of Economics under the same ministerial decree. Two students are from European Union countries: Germany and Finland.
In addition, six foreign PhD students have chosen to study at the University of Economics Varna. Two of them are from Israel, the other four are from Germany, Ukraine, Vietnam and Iran, the educational institution added.
