The Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria and Pakistan, Georg Georgiev and Ishaq Dar, exchanged congratulatory letters on the occasion of 60 years since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, the Bulgarian Ministry said on X. The letters reaffirm the common commitment to strong and lasting ties of friendship and cooperation.

Diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Pakistan were established on June 15, 1965. They were briefly severed in 1972 by Pakistan after Bulgaria recognised Bangladesh, the Foreign Ministry said on its website.
