Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) MP Atanas Atanasov told journalists on Wednesday that his party wants the resignation of Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova. Atanasov said that his colleagues are working on the motives and will present them to political forces. “This lady has become a repeat offender by breaking the rules,” he said.

“Last week we asked for her resignation for lobbying for a gambling company, now she is helping the majority to cover up this smuggling channel,” Atanasov commented on the request for a hearing in Parliament on a smuggling case in Plovdiv.

"The ruling majority once again covered up the smuggling channel linked to Peevski in Plovdiv. Some of our demands were rejected, and Parliament Chair Kiselova was complicit by not putting to a vote the demand to hear the police officers to share information about the smuggling," said Bozhidar Bozhanov of CC-DB. The police umbrella has grown into a political umbrella in parliament and a prosecutorial umbrella that aims to cover everything up, he said.

Asked about the stance on the demands for the removal of immunities of MPs, Atanasov said it was yet to be discussed.
