Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo customs port have detained counterfeit detergent during an inspection of a Croatian-registered truck entering this country from Turkiye on February 1, the Customs Agency said. The vehicle was travelling from Turkiye to Austria and was driven by a Croatian national.

All the 10,764 2 kg packages, totaling 21,528 kg of powder detergent bear the logo of a well-known brand. The laundry detergents have been seized pursuant to European Regulation 608/2013 on the protection of intellectual property. The trademark owner has been informed of the case and has confirmed that the goods are counterfeit.
