Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov, who spoke to his supporters here on Tuesday, said that his party does not recognize this government, as: "It is not Bulgarian and does not represent the Bulgarian people and its own electorate". Vazrazhdane supporters gathered in front of Parliament to protest the Denkov-Gabriel Cabinet, which the 49th National Assembly elected earlier Tuesday.

Kostadinov called on Vazrazhdane supporters not to recognize the newly elected government, to declare civil disobedience and to refuse to follow "the orders of these criminals". The leader of Vazrazhdane called Prime Minister Denkov a soon-to-be defendant, who only represents the interests of the American Embassy.

Kostadinov called on his party's supporters to join a second protest on Saturday, to show that "we will not allow Bulgaria to be ruled from the outside anymore, even though this is what is happening at the moment".

The leader of Vazrazhdane said that the verification of the signatures submitted to the Civil Registration and Administrative Services General Directorate was completed on Tuesday. Of the 604,000 signatures for a referendum on keeping the Bulgarian lev as the country's official currency, more than 470,000 were valid. He added that what follows is a procedure to organize a referendum, which should be completed by June.
