Bulgaria won two titles in the junior group apparatus finals and got the silver medal in the junior group all-around event at the 39th European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku.

Andrea Ivanova, Eva Emilova, Tsveteyoana Peycheva, Krasimira Ivanova, Gabriela Peeva and Vanessa Emilova gave a robust performance at five ropes on Wednesday and earned a score of 30.500 points (14.600 for difficulty, 7.600 for execution and 8.300 for artistry).

The Israeli ensemble, who had grabbed the all-around title, placed second at five ropes on a score of 30.400 points. Italy came in third on 29.550.

At five balls, the Bulgarians, coached by Kristina Ilieva and Zhanina Ivanova, played remarkably well, too, and triumphed on 32.100 points (15.600 for difficulty, 8.200 for execution and 8.300 for artistry).

The silver at five balls went, again, to Israel (31.900), and the bronze went to the hosts Azerbaijan (31.200).

The Bulgarians thus made up for their error at the all-around, which apparently cost them the all-around title earlier on Wednesday. They scored 59.250 points, which brought them the silver.
