site.bta Good Conditions for Hiking and Skiing in the Mountains, Possible Light Rain

Conditions in the mountains are good for hiking and skiing, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) told BTA on Wednesday. The weather is relatively quie, with light rain.
At an altitude above 1,200 m, there is light snowfall, expected to increase later in the day.

Vitosha mountain has a fresh snow cover of about 5 cm, in the Balkan mountain the cover is 10cm.

It is likely that the ski season will be extended, the MRS also predicted, specifying that the facilities in the resorts are still working.
