Ships participating in the Breeze 2026 naval exercise continue to carry out their planned tasks at sea, the Bulgarian Navy's press service reported on Wednesday. Joint mine countermeasure operations are being conducted by the minehunter Struma, the minehunter Akcay of the Turkish Navy, and the minehunter Constantin Dumitrescu of the Romanian Navy, all part of the Mine Countermeasures Black Sea Task Group.

The patrol forces, together with aircraft from the French and Turkish naval patrol aviation units, conducted an anti-submarine exercise using hydroacoustic stations as well as passive and active hydroacoustic buoys. An operation was conducted to repel attacks by an aerial adversary, involving patrol and mine-countermeasures ships from the Navy and aircraft from the Air Force.

Bulgarian and US divers conducted searches for and detection of bottom mines using remotely operated equipment.

Special operations teams from the Bulgarian Navy and the Joint Special Operations Command carried out joint covert surveillance and reconnaissance missions to identify the personnel at the naval base and the deployment of naval formations. During a working meeting between experts from the Bulgarian Navy and representatives of governmental and nongovernmental organizations and agencies, joint actions were discussed and coordinated.
