site.btaDrone Found on Shore near Ahtopol, No Threat Identified

A drone was discovered on the shore near Ahtopol, the Ministry of Defence’s press office said on Thursday. The object did not contain any explosives and posed no danger. It was subsequently transported to the Naval Base in Burgas.

This is the latest in a series of drone discoveries in recent days. On April 14, a drone washed ashore on the southern beach in Nessebar. On April 12, a specialized Navy team destroyed a floating drone. On April 3, another drone and a drone wing found in the Black Sea were neutralized by military personnel.

А specialized team from the Burgas Naval Base carried out a reconnaissance and recovery operation after the object washed ashore near the Dolphin campsite in Ahtopol, the Ministry said. 

The operation was conducted at the request of the Burgas Regional Administration and with the approval of the Chief of Defence.
