site.btaInnovation Minister, Chinese Ambassador Discuss Options for Developing Bilateral Ties in Investment Field

Caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Irena Mladenova held a meeting with China’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Dai Qingli here on Thursday, the Ministry reported. The sides discussed opportunities for developing bilateral relations in the fields of innovation and investment.

Minister Mladenova emphasized that the development of bilateral economic relations is viewed in the context of Bulgaria’s full membership in the European Union.

She noted that a priority for the Ministry is creating a favorable environment to attract investment and accelerate export growth, stimulate high-tech and innovative manufacturing, facilitate technology transfer, and position Bulgarian companies in international markets.

The two also discussed opportunities for organizing bilateral business forums, noting in this regard the good cooperation with the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. The Ambassador presented upcoming exhibitions in China related to investment and innovation.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth Mira Yosifova and representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Sofia.
