site.btaParliament to Hear Caretaker Ministers on Deployment of US Military Aircraft at Sofia Airport, Middle East Tensions

At its sitting on Thursday, Parliament is expected to hear ministers from the caretaker cabinet regarding the situation surrounding the deployment of US military aircraft at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport and the tensions in the Middle East.

The item is second on the agenda of the National Assembly, which opened the sitting with two declarations by the parliamentary groups of Vazrazhdane and There Is Such a People.

On February 19, the Defence Ministry announced that aircraft of the United States Air Force had been deployed at Sofia Airport in connection with a military exercise.

Lawmakers are also expected to debate at second reading amendments to the Social Security Code introducing a multi-fund system in supplementary pension insurance.
