site.btaPolice in Razgrad Arrest Turkish Citizen Wanted by Interpol

A Turkish citizen who is wanted by Interpol with a red notice was arrested by police in the northeastern town of Razgrad, the press centre of the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

The 74-year-old man is wanted for committing sexual violence against a minor on the territory of Turkiye. He was detected during a police check at an address he had indicated for temporary residence in the town.

The Interpol department was notified, the Regional Directorate noted, adding that procedural actions within the competence of the prosecutor's office, the court and the Turkish authorities are pending in the case.
