MECh leader Radostin Vasilev wished President Rumen Radev success on the political stage and described his potential new party as a possible ally in a Facebook post on Monday. Vasilev also wished Radev wisdom, determination, and the strength to make the most difficult decisions.
“For MECh, the fight against the corruption model, captured institutions, and the stolen future has always been a core goal. We stand for justice and an uncompromising stance against the mafia, and we have proven it decisively! There are no compromises with the truth. Our enemies are GERB and Movement for Rights and Freedoms in all their forms and projections,” Vasilev added.
In a televised address to the nation Monday, Rumen Radev said this is his "last address as President" of Bulgaria. He said he will be submitting his resignation as head of State on Tuesday. There has been a lot of speculation recently about Radev intending to leave the President's Office to go into politics. He did not expressly mention the establishment of a party of his own.
