site.btaBulgaria to Participate in EU Satellite Connectivity Arrangement

The Council of Ministers announced Monday that it has approved Bulgaria’s participation in an administrative arrangement related to the European Union’s Secure Connectivity Programme.

The move aims to support the development of a reliable and secure satellite infrastructure that will provide uninterrupted communication services for state institutions, critical infrastructure, citizens and businesses.

Under the arrangement, Bulgaria will gain access to a shared mechanism for coordinating and managing radio-frequency and orbital resources, as well as the opportunity to use capacity for secure satellite communications.

By joining, Bulgaria aligns with the efforts of other EU Member States to build a resilient and independent communication system, which is considered essential for the security of the European Union.
