The Foreign Ministry of Bulgaria said in a press release on Sunday that it is following with growing concern the actions of the regime in Iran, including those directed against civilian sites in partner countries in the Gulf region.

All efforts have been made to convince Iran that the international community cannot allow the development of its nuclear programme, as well as its concerning missile production, the ministry said.

"Instead of demonstrating restraint, by striking countries in the region, Tehran is today expanding the scope of the dangerous military escalation for which it bears responsibility," the statement reads.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry called on Iran to cease these actions and to fulfil the conditions that would open the possibility of resuming dialogue and reaching a solution in line with the expectations of the international community and the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people.
