An exhibition titled “Past and Future” by artist Zlate Popovski will be unveiled at the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Centre in Skopje on Thursday.

Many of the featured works in the exhibition are based on sketches by his father, Prof. Bogoja Popovski – a renowned painter with numerous solo exhibitions to his name. The gallery space of the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Centre will host 22 paintings that blend legacy with a personal artistic vision.

Zlate Popovski was born in 1950 and began painting at the age of ten, encouraged by his father. Professionally, he is an engineer specializing in electronics, telecommunications, and automation. He completed his education in Skopje and later pursued studies in economics in Zagreb and econometrics in Cambridge. Although his career included working as an energy expert for the World Bank, art has always held a central place in his life. Over the years, Popovski has held exhibitions in schools throughout the Republic of North Macedonia and Bulgaria. Some of his works have even been on permanent display at the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Primary School in Koprivshtitsa.
