Turkish Revenue Administration (TRA) Commissioner Bekir Bayrakdar, his deputy Mehmet Arabaci and head of EU and Foreign Affairs at the TRA, Ahmet Yildirim, met with representatives of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) here on Wednesday to exchange good practices in the field of tax policy for better tax control, promoting voluntary compliance and combating the grey economy, the NRA reported. Bayrakdar was here at the invitation of the NRA Executive Director Rumen Spetsov.

Spetsov said that as a Member State of the European Union and a future full member of the Schengen area, Bulgaria is aware of the importance of the EU external border and the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint. "That is why we want to deepen cooperation between the two revenue administrations," he added.

Bayrakdar agreed that it is important that the relations between the two administrations develop constantly and consistently.

Spetsov and Bayrakdar were pleased with the good relationship established and hopeful that it will continue to develop.
