site.btaPresident Radev to Visit Moldova for European Political Community Summit


On June 1, President Rumen Radev will represent Bulgaria at the second meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) in Moldova, the head of State's press secretariat reported Wednesday. The EPC Summit will be hosted by Moldovan President Maia Sandu. Invited to attend are 47 heads of state and government as well as the presidents of the European Council, the European Commission, and the European Parliament.
Within the EPC Summit, Radev will take part in a roundtable on the energy sector. The participants from 20 countries will discuss topics related to energy security, infrastructure, and connectivity. Radev is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of many European countries.
The European Political Community is a platform for dialogue between European countries aimed at achieving coordination on various sectoral policies. The first international summit of the EPC took place in Czechia in 2022.
