One person was injured when a six-storey building in the southeastern Turkish town of Sanliurfa collapsed on Sunday, the governor of the region, Salih Ayhan, said, as quoted by TRT Haber TV. The building had been damaged by the earthquakes that hit Turkiye on February 6.
The injured person has been hospitalised, but there is no risk for his life.
Ayhan said that the rescue teams are still working but, thankfully, no traces of people in the rubble have been found, the Anadolu Agency reported. The search activities will continue until the rubble has been removed.
He called on citizens to not enter the buildings damaged by the quakes and to not pass near them.
