The leader of Kosovo's ruling left-wing nationalist Self-Determination Movement (LVV) and current Prime Minister Albin Kurti declared victory for his party in Sunday's early parliamentary elections, a few hours after on Sunday night Kosovo's Central Election Commission announced that the LVV won 49.88% of the vote based on preliminary data from 94.64% of the ballots processed.

Kurti declared his victory in downtown Pristina in front of hundreds of his supporters.

Kurti's party and its partners, Guxo, Alternativa, and the Albanian Christian Democratic Party of Kosovo, garnered 49.30% of the vote, based on preliminary data from 99.26% of the ballots processed.

The daily Koha Ditore reported that the LVV's victory margin is sufficient for the party to coalesce only with minority parties in order to form a government.
