Spanish culture was showcased at the Palace Cultural Centre in Balchik on Saturday and Sunday, the cultural institution told BTA on Monday.
The first day of the Spanish Culture Days began with reading excerpts from classical and contemporary Spanish authors translated into Bulgarian, which was attended by 11th grade students of the Foreign Language High School in Dobrich. An exhibition by Chilean artist Jimena Tapia was opened on the first day as well, with guests joining a discussion with her about art traditions of Chile and the influence of Spain on the contemporary cultural landscape of Latin America.
A workshop on Latin Dances was organized by the Desita Salsa Club, while Georgi Iliev accompanied the evening with performances of Spanish music on the classical guitar. The evening continued with a culinary presentation, where guests tried Tortilla de Patatas, Castilian-style pork roast, crema Catalana and sangria, prepared under the guidance of chef Sergey Georgiev.
On Sunday, a guided walk through the Palace Cultural Centre was organized for the participants and guests.
