Voter turnout across the country stood at 34.63% as of 4 pm, Deputy Chair and spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Rositsa Mateva said at a briefing on Sunday. In the previous early parliamentary elections on October 27, 2024, voter turnout at 4 pm was 26.25%, she added.
Turnout was highest in Sofia's 23rd constituency - 43.38% and lowest in Kardzhali - 23.34%, Mateva said.
Voter turnout across the country stood at 12.12% as of 11 am on Sunday. It was highest in Vratsa at 17.13% and lowest in Kardzhali at 7.80%.
Election Day is proceeding normally in the country and abroad, she added.
Voting with 75 machines in the country has been suspended. There was a problem with three machines abroad, but it has been resolved and machine voting continues, Mateva added.
