site.btaNHIF Supervisory Board to Discuss Draft of 2023-2025 Medical Activities National Framework Agreement

The Supervisory Board of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) will discuss the draft National Framework Contract for Medical Activities for 2023-2025 at Friday's meeting. The draft National Framework Contract for Dental Activities for 2023-2025 is also included in the agenda.

An announcement is planned on the current implementation of the NHIF budget funds and proposals for compensated changes between the parameters of the NHIF budget and for monthly allocation of funds under the NHIF Budget Law for 2023 as of June 30. Information will also be given on the current implementation of health insurance payments and of medical and dental care volumes as of the same date.

A few days ago, the NHIF announced that after the adoption of the NHIF 2023 budget by the National Assembly, negotiations with the Bulgarian Doctors' Union and the Bulgarian Dentists' Union have started for signing the two framework contracts for the period 2023-2025 - the National Framework Contract for Medical Activities and the National Framework Contract for Dental Activities.

The NHIF Supervisory Board has two representatives each of the employees' and employers' organizations, one representative of the patient rights organizations, and four representatives of the state, one of whom is the Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency.
