Senior government representatives of France, Germany and Poland (the so-called Weimar Triangle) will visit the Republic of North Macedonia to confer with the country's President Stevo Pendarovski, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Maricic and coordinators of local parliamentary groups.

The three Weimar Triangle representatives are France’s Secretary of State for European Affairs Laurence Boone, Germany's Minister of State for Europe and Climate Anna Luhrmann and Poland's Minister for the EU Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek, the Secretariat for European Affairs in North Macedonia reported.

The meeting will be hosted by Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Maricic, with whom the representatives of France, Germany and Poland will have a working meeting on the negotiations with the EU, with focus on the implementation of the obligations and tasks stemming from the negotiating framework and accelerating the process of European integration.

This is the second trio of EU ministers to arrive in Skopje within a week. On Thursday, foreign ministers of Austria – Alexander Schallenberg, the Czech Republic – Jan Lipavsky and Slovakia – Miroslav Vlahovsky paid a visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
