site.btaUPDATED Electronic Governance Ministry Reports 10,000 Tests of Video Monitoring Devices Ahead of April 2 Elections


By late afternoon on Saturday, 10,000 tests had been done on video monitoring and video taping devices which will be used in the April 2 parliamentary elections, the Electronic Governance Ministry said on Saturday. The devices were tested by the chairpersons of section election commissions as instructed. Only five mobile devices had to be replaced. Faulty devices can still be replaced on Saturday.
The process of video monitoring and video taping will be tested in all the section election commissions by the end of the day.
A contact centre will be available at the Electronic Governance Ministry to support the video monitoring and video taping of ballot processing after the end of Election Day.
