A new hotel wing and a modern SPA centre are set to open at the Mantar complex in Marikostinovo, expanding its accommodation and wellness facilities, manager Vangel Stoychev said.
The complex, opened in 2015, will add a SPA centre equipped with modern technologies, including a year-round mineral water pool, several types of saunas, a steam bath, ice room, relaxation areas and a traditional Turkish massage room.
Mantar currently offers accommodation for about 30 guests, along with indoor and outdoor mineral pools, wellness facilities, caravan spaces, villas and sports amenities. It also features indoor and outdoor children's areas.
The mineral water, suitable for bone and joint conditions, remains a key asset, management said. The area offers opportunities for cultural and nature tourism, with nearby locations including Petrich, Sandanski, Heraclea Sintica and Samuil's Fortress, as well as access to mountain routes and day trips to the Greek coast.
