One person has been injured and critical infrastructure has been damaged in a Russian overnight strike against the city of Odesa, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper said on his Telegram channel.
During the night, Russian troops attacked Odesa and the region with strike drones. As a result of the attack residential, energy, and gas infrastructure has been damaged, Kiper said.
In the Odesa region, a drone hit a multi-storey residential building. Two apartments, the facade of the building, windows and 15 private cars parked nearby were damaged. In addition, damage was recorded on the territory of a critical infrastructure facility, the head of the region said.
The consequences of the attack are currently being dealt with, Kiper added.
Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
