site.btaContinue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria Submits Vote of No Confidence in Government
“Apparently the government did not hear the massive protest and did not resign. Today, as we promised, we submitted a vote of no confidence in the government,” said Continue the Change co-leader Assen Vassilev at a briefing in Parliament here on Friday.
He noted that this is the first vote of no confidence with the active participation of the youngest generation in the country. “The future belongs to them, and we are obliged to secure it,” Vassilev said.
“If the government does not resign, we will organize an even larger protest than the one on December 1,” Vassilev added.
“We submitted the vote with the support of the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms and MECh. We expect it to be supported by anyone who still has a bit of political instinct left,” MP Bozhidar Bozhanov.
