site.btaLudogorets Razgrad Defeat Celta Vigo 3-2 in Europa League Clash
Bulgaria champions Ludogorets Razgrad recorded their second Europa League victory, winning 3-2 at home against Celta Vigo in Round 5 of the group stage. Petar Stanic was the hero for the Bulgarian side, scoring a hat-trick.
The match at Huvepharma Arena Stadium in Razgrad got off to a perfect start for Ludogorets. In the 11th minute, Stanic gave the hosts the lead with a precise penalty, awarded after Manuel Fernandez fouled Caio Vidal.
Just four minutes after the restart, Ludogorets struck again. Following a rehearsed corner routine, the ball found Stanic at the edge of the penalty area and he fired a powerful shot to make it 2-0.
In the 62nd minute, Caio Vidal was brought down in Celta's penalty area, but referee Balazs Berke of Hungary initially showed him a yellow card for simulation. After a VAR review, the referee was advised to re-examine the incident, a penalty was awarded and Stanic confidently completed his hat-trick.
Celta refused to give up. In the 70th minute, Pablo Duran scored with a diagonal strike for 3-1. Then, in the 5th minute of added time, Jones El-Abdellaoui pulled another goal back to make it 3-2.
