site.btaOnline Bulgarian Language Dictation Held in Taraclia Region ahead of May 24


A dictation in Bulgarian language gathered more than 200 students from Taraclia region ahead of May 24 - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavonic literature. The initiative was implemented in accordance with the plan of the education directorate of the Taraclia district council for the 2024-2025 school year and as part of the Moldovan Ministry of Education and Research's programme for strengthening inter-ethnic relations, the education directorate said Monday.
The media partner of the event was the local media team, which ensured real-time broadcasting of the dictation through its platforms. The participants wrote an adapted excerpt from the essay “The Writer and Language” by Prof. Konstantin Galabov, dictated by Bulgarian language and literature methodologist Donka Nikolova, a seconded teacher from the Bulgarian Ministry of Education.
After the dictation, the participants sent their work to a specially created e-mail. In the presence of journalists and the management of the education directorate, the letters were opened, printed and coded. A total of 211 dictations were accepted for verification. The evaluation took place in the building of the Theoretical Lyceum “Ivan Vazov” where a 13-member committee of teachers of Bulgarian language and literature from various educational institutions in the area gathered. The work of the committee was organized according to previously announced criteria.
All participants will receive certificates of participation from the education management. The first place winners in the two categories will be included in the trip to the city of Gabrovo organized by the Taraclia District Council from May 23 to 26.
