The Alliance for Rights and Freedoms coalition has submitted documents to the Central Election Commission to participate in the early parliamentary elections on April 19, the party's press centre announced on Monday.
The coalition told journalists that they are running for the second time with the ambition to contribute to the holding of fair and transparent elections and to actively participate in the next political period. According to them, the country needs to restore democratic processes and strengthen state institutions.
The the parliamentary group Floor Leader and National Assembly Deputy Chair, Hayri Sadakov, expressed confidence that the coalition will receive the necessary public support and will have their representatives in the next parliament. According to him, the formation has a "solid base" and will work for a stronger presence in the National Assembly.
When asked about possible future coalition configurations after the elections, Sadakov replied that they will conduct policy according to the results of the vote and the interests of their voters. The coalition stressed that they are confident in their election result and expect to be part of the next parliament.
