site.btaARF Floor Leader Sadakov Expects Diplomacy to Prevail in Middle East Conflict

Alliance for Rights and Freedoms Floor Leader Hayri Sadakov told journalists on Monday that the party hopes and expects diplomacy to replace missiles and seek a peaceful way out of this situation in the Middle East.

"In these bright days of the month of Ramadan, which we find ourselves in here in Bulgaria and around the world, the killings of innocent people are an extremely unpleasant and difficult topic," Sadakov said. He expressed his expectation that diplomatic efforts will replace military actions. 

On Saturday, international news agencies reported on a military escalation between Israel and Iran. Israel said it had carried out a preventive strike against Iran. US President Donald Trump confirmed that the US armed forces had launched a military operation against Iran, which he described as a large-scale combat operation.
