An exhibition titled "32 photos before the 32nd Bulgarian Antarctic expedition - to Antarctica and back with love by Radka Danailova" will mark the opening of the BTA National Press Club at the St. Kliment Ohridski Bulgarian Antarctic Base on Livingston Island, BTA Director General Kiril Valchev said at the official opening of the exhibition, hosted by the BTA National Press Club in Varna.

"On the eve of the second voyage to Antarctica of the Bulgarian naval research/survey vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii, we are opening the exhibition which presents the ship through the eyes of the wife of Commander Nikolay Danailov, the RSV 421's Commanding Officer", Valchev said, adding that the photos are captured at the vessel's departure on St. Stephen's Day in 2022, as well as from Danailova's meetings with her husband in the ports of Punta Arenas in Chile and Mar del Plata in Argentina. Danailova provided the photos to BTA free of charge.

Valchev recalled that BTA covered the 127-day expedition with text, video and photos during the entire voyage (including across the Atlantic in both directions) and throughout the stay in Antarctica. In June, BTA published in Bulgarian and in English an issue of its LIK magazine "To Antarctica and Back under the Bulgarian Flag" dedicated to the historic expedition.

BTA will cover all scientific projects during the 32nd Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition with text, video and photos, as well, Valchev also said.

He specified that the exhibition will stay at the BTA National Press Club in Varna for another week, after which it will leave for Antarctica with the vessel. In addition to opening the BTA National Press Club at the Bulgarian Antarctic Base, the exhibition will be presented to the Bulgarian community in Comodoro Rivadavia in Argentina, and possibly in other ports along the ship's route.
