The Bulgarian national team won four medals - one gold, one silver, and two bronze - in the team competitions across different age groups at the Balkan Equestrian Championship (show jumping) in Belgrade, Serbia.
The junior team, consisting of Draga Todorova with Charimo PS, Marta Kolusheva with Cuydera, Elena Hadzhova with Elvit, and Eliza Cholakova with Jupiter, claimed the title decisively.
In the children’s category, silver went to Aleksandar Bonev with Dendens, Daria Cholakova with Dorothea, Ivaila Plocheva with Jumper, and Lora Cholakova with Kasper.
The men’s team - Ivana Angelova with Manhattan, Diyan Balchev with Babuk, Krasimir Dimitrov with Lost in You, and Anton Dacinski with Chacorue - won bronze in tough competition.
The young riders’ team also earned bronze in a closely contested event, represented by Milko Kochev with Carino, Dara Brezoeva with Kiki Tren, Asya Petrova with Al D’Baran, and Desislava Milanova with Diamant.
The tournament in the Serbian capital features 10 participating countries, making it a mini European championship. Along with Bulgaria and host Serbia, competitors came from Romania, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia.
Bulgaria fielded teams in all five competition categories - children, juniors (up to 18), young riders (18-21), women, and men.
