The Bulgarian sisters Stefani Stoeva and Gabriela Stoeva won the women’s doubles title at the Yonex Italian Open 2025, a badminton tournament held in Bolzano, Italy from June 25-29. In Sunday’s final, the four-time European champions defeated No. 2 seed Bengisu Ercetin and Nazlican Inci of Turkiye 21-19 21-14 after 43 minutes of play.

Late in the first game, the Bulgarians were three points down (15-18), but then they scored five points in a row to reach 20-18 and eventually won the game on 21-19. During the second game, Stefani and Gabriela dominated the whole time, and after a 19-7 lead it was no problem for them to claim victory.

Later on Sunday, Stefani Stoeva earned the silver medal in the women’s singles after losing 15-21 19-21 in the final to Ogze Bayrak of Turkiye in 44 minutes of play. Overall, it was a very strong tournament for Stefani, who incurred only one loss in a total of nine singles and doubles matches.
