site.btaSharankova Wins Gold at Swimming Tournament in Belgrade

Lora Sharankova won a gold medal in the 800 m freestyle at the international swimming tournament for juniors Comen Cup in Belgrade, Serbia. The Bulgarian triumphed with a big lead over her competitors. Sharankova finished in 9:00.85 minutes. She beat Silvia Piras of Italy by 3.53 seconds and Tugba Yildiz (Turkiye), third in the standings, by nearly 8 seconds. This is Sharankova's second medal of the competition after the second position in the 400m combined swimming.

Aleksandar Nikolov won bronze in the junior 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:19.90. He remained 27 hundredths away from third place in the junior 100m breaststroke race. He finished in 1:06.16 minutes.

Ivailo Pirinski placed 12th in the 50m freestyle with a time of 25.02 seconds.
