The snowmaking capacity in Pamporovo is already at 97–9%, and two more ski runs have been equipped with snow cannons, Stefan Prisadov, Executive Director of the "Pamporovo" AD told BTA in an interview.
He noted that advance bookings from foreign tourists for the new winter season are going quite well. There is a strong trend of interest from the United Kingdom, Turkiye, Ireland, and Romania, but the resort will also rely heavily on Bulgarian tourists, who represent a very important share of Pamporovo’s visitors.
Stefan Prisadov described the summer season as very successful, considering hotel occupancy and visitor numbers. He added that for several years now, the company has been focusing on developing both winter sports and summer tourism in parallel. The company plans to continue in this direction by investing in the expansion of summer attractions. The next key point in their development strategy is Mechi Chal, where master plans are currently being prepared to provide a comprehensive solution for a snowmaking installation that will fully cover the ski area near Chepelare.
In April 2026, work will begin on replacing the single-seat lift connecting the Malina ski center to the Studenets ski center with a brand-new four-seat lift, Prisadov further announced. He added that it remains to be determined whether lift pass prices will remain the same for the upcoming winter season.
