As of July 1, the minimum pension will increase from BGN 580.57 to BGN 630.50, and the average pension will be about BGN 1,000, said the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Borislav Gutsanov, after the end of the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

From that date, all pensions will be increased by 8.6%, as planned months ago during the budget approval, Gutsanov added.

All pensions granted until the end of 2024 will be adjusted from July 1 under Article 100 of the Social Insurance Code, according to the so-called Swiss rule. The maximum pension amount payable for one or more pensions remains unchanged at BGN 3,400.
