Negotiations are underway between Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company and Lukoil Neftochim Burgas on the procedure for handover of operational control of the Rosenets oil port terminal to the State.
According to a decision adopted by the Council of Ministers on August 11 the concession is terminated as of August 15, 2023. A commission has been appointed by the Transport Ministers which within 30 days of the termination has to take over the oil port.
The Maritime Administration Executive Agency has issued an order to strike off Lukoil Neftochim Burgas from the list of port operators. Port Infrastructure State Enterprise will be entered as operator of the terminal in its place.
