In December 2025, the average monthly contributory income in Bulgaria was BGN 1,999.08, the National Social Security Institute said on Tuesday.
Between January 2025 and December 2025, the average monthly contributory income stood at BGN 1,854.22.
The average monthly contributory income during the reporting period serves to determine the size of newly awarded pensions in January 2026 under Article 70(3) of the Social Insurance Code.
